Saved from certain death.

These five greyhounds from Eire are part of a group of forty who were failed racers and destined to pay the ultimate price for that failure, but saved from death by a charity based in Cromer called Kerry Greyhounds.

Unwanted racing greyhounds that did not make the grade like hundreds of others every year that are bred so that people can ‘enjoy’ them racing!!!

Mack, Mikey, Jet, Finn, and Joe, (all under four years old) are five of ten that PACT agreed to take into their care when Kerry asked for help in rehoming the large number they had rescued.

The young dogs left Eire at 10 am Wednesday morning and arrived at the sanctuary 25 hours later. These photographs were taken when they arrived at our Sanctuary, a testament to their lovely nature.

PACT, in fact, had no kennels available but found boarding kennels at a reduced cost so that these wonderful creatures could live, well worth the £250 per week.

Greyhounds make wonderful companions, they are gentle and friendly and they need very little exercise.

MACK

They make ideal companions for older people or family pets. Once they have settled and been neutered they will be looking for those forever loving homes that they truly deserve. These are the lucky ones of the hundreds that will die in the next year.
