Charlie was rescued as a puppy, abandoned in Cyprus when he was very young and defenceless. He was rehomed in September by another rescue, but sadly, he is seeking a new home as his family feel they don't have the time to offer him the attention and stimulation that he needs.

Charlie is a very handsome young boy and is roughly eight months old. He is very much going through his adolescent phase and is excitable and curious about everything. He is energetic and requires and active home with a garden, and a family he can accompany on long walks or runs. He is an incredibly friendly boy and loves being in the company of people and other dogs.

He does need some work on his socialisation as he can get a bit carried away in his play, but really means no harm. He's just a goon of a puppy and needs some training. Charlie was living with three children under the age of six years old where he was often being too bouncy and boisterous around them, which was proving hard to manage. Although he's never shown adverse behaviour to them, and loves being with the kids, his size and playfulness is too much for such small children. We're therefore looking for a home with older children who are comfortable around dogs. We would suggest children 14 years and older.

Charlie has not had any formal training and was due to begin working with a behaviourist in February to improve his socialisation, recall and lead walking. We would encourage his new family to proceed with this to build up a good bond with Charlie as well as better his manners. He is super smart, keen to learn and definitely has the capacity to do so given some commitment. He is also extremely food motivated. Given the time, training and patience, Charlie has a lot of potential to shine. Charlie cannot be rehomed with cats, but could live with other dogs which are well established and well mannered.
