Cooper is a young, friendly, crossbreed dog that has come into our care as an unclaimedstray via the dog warden. He is now seeking his forever home in which he will be the onlypet in the household as he is not cat friendly and is not suitable to share his home withanother dog. Chester will suit families with children aged 12 and upwards.

Friendly and confident, Cooper is playful and affectionate towards people. He loves toys and has a fun, energetic spirit but can get overexcited in play with other dogs, so he needs to gain some social skills and learn some manners before socialising off lead. He could however enjoy social lead walks alongside other dogs. Cooper seems to have had no prior basic training so will require an owner that can dedicate time and introduce him to positive reward based training to help him be more responsive to his owner and teach him those all important social skills.

Cooper’s biggest love is his human companions and the interaction they have with him. He will therefore require an owner that is at home with him the majority of the time, especially while he settles in his new home and leaving hours introduced at a pace he is comfortable with.

Cooper enjoys his walks and sniffing out new areas. He tends to walk well on his harness and lead. As well as his physical exercise, his new owner will also need to ensure Cooper’s mental stimulation requirements are met.

If you are looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love and joy, Coopercould be a wonderful match for you.
