Handsome Loki a five generation pedigree Husky was signed over to us in February 2023 because his family were unable to dedicate the time and stimulation he needed.

Loki has the typical traits of the Husky breed, he is intelligent, independent and stubborn and for this reason we would prefer for Loki’s new owners to have experience of the breed. Loki loves nothing more then going for long walks, he would be best suited to a home that is quite active and enjoys walking as much as he does! Loki absolutely loves water and would enjoy trips to the beach and swimming in rivers! We also think he would make a great CaniCross dog. Loki isn’t a huge fan of toys and would much prefer to spend his time with his humans exploring the world.

Loki’s training has come on leaps and bounds whilst with us, we have used the clicker training method which he responds well to. Being a Husky he can pull on the lead on walks but does settle after a while, for this reason we would recommend he is walked on a harness. He knows basic commands but does require consistent training, he can get easily distracted but he is food responsive and with high quality treats, his focus can be brought back. Loki will always try his hardest to please you and his perfect owner/s would be someone who finds training rewarding!

Loki is far to intelligent to live in a kennel and would really benefit from being in a home with someone who can provide him the attention he needs, he will give someone hours of fun and love!

Whilst in our care we have socialised Loki with other dogs, he is best suited to socialising with younger playful but respectful dogs of similar size as he can get quite boisterous in play.

We feel that Loki’s ideal home is one where he can be the only dog in the home. He is not suitable to live with cats and can be rehomed with children no younger than 16 years of age.
