Bolty is our 9-month-old lurcher cross that came into our care on the 27th of February 2024 as an unclaimed stray from the dog warden. Due to this we have no history on Bolty and do not know how he will be in a home.

From what we have seen in kennels Bolty is a ball of fun. He loves attention and toys. After a good zoom about with his friends in are training field, he loves to curl up with a bone, whittle the hours away chewing and sleeping, ready for his next burst of energy. Bolty loves to meet new people and is always very excited to see them as he can get more attention. He is a typical lurcher and loves to push himself into your legs to get attention and cuddles. Bolty has some basic training, knowing how to sit and his recall is getting there. However, as he has never been in a home, he will need to be house trained.

Bolty is great with other dogs and regularly socialises with them at the sanctuary. His best friend is Babet, who is also a Lurcher who came to us as a stray, and Demi a stray from Romania. However, due to his history as a stray, he can be protective of his food with other dogs, so he would need to be fed in a separate area if rehomed with other dogs. Bolty came in underweight and is currently regaining his figure.
