We would like to introduce Peggy our beautiful 6 month old Pug x Jack Russel x Dachshund. She was one of 12 dogs rescued from terrible living conditions so not the best start to her short life! She is now looking for her forever home.

When Peggy got to PACT, it was quickly decided that she needed a foster home due to how scared and shut down she was. This would also give PACT an idea of what she is like in a house and around other pets. Whilst in foster she has flourished into a more confident, loving and playful dog who adores being around people. If she isn't playing with her toys, you can find her snuggled up with one of her foster carers. She also loves to sit on your shoulders and Peggy is also starting to understand the difference between her toys and her foster dad’s socks!

Peggy requires a patient owner, who is willing to put the time in socialising and training her. Peggys’ foster carers have been taking her out for short stints so she can acclimatise herself to the hustle and bustle of the wide-open world. After only a week, she has already improved leaps and bounds by allowing strangers to say hello and will now watch as cars drive by without a worry.

When Peggy first went to her foster home, she showed signs of not being appropriately house trained so she has had training for this and now rarely has accidents though when she does, it is mostly when over excited. Her new owners will need to continue to do this with her. With time and patience, Peggy will be a wonderful dog. A consistent and loving home is all she needs.

So, what type of home is best suited for her? Ideally, we are looking for a family/retired but active owner who has the time to help Peggy with her separation anxiety and continue with her training.

If you think you can give Peggy her forever home please apply here:
