Polly came to PACT 27th of February after she was left at the vets with a Pyometra. She has since recovered from her surgery and is now looking for her forever sofa.

We have no history for Polly from her previous home but from what we have seen at the sanctuary and from her foster home. She is clean in the house and has basic training but can be strong on the lead when excited. Polly is dog-social but prefers calmer dogs. She is suitable for social lead walks but would prefer to be an only dog. Polly will also need 6-foot fencing as she has been seen easily clearing 4.5 feet.

Whilst in a foster home Polly began showing more of her personality; playing with soft toys and in the garden was very happy and inquisitive. Once inside she settled quickly but preferred to spend her time with her female foster carer. She had a settled night with no problems once she knew she wasn't going to be left.

Polly does have separation anxiety and would prefer a family that has one person who is always home/ only leaves for short periods. Polly is not destructive and loves nothing more than cuddling up on a sofa and sleeping.

Due to the upheaval of Polly's life, she is understandably out of sorts at the moment but with the right family and home, she will make a wonderful companion and a loyal friend.
