Alfred is a 3 year old lurcher who came into our care as an unclaimed stray, through the dog warden. He is of a very sweet, friendly nature looking for a calm household with any children being 12 years old or over. Although Alfred has a few doggy pals here at the sanctuary, he is looking for a home where he is the only pet. Once settled into his new home, he would potentially be able to be introduced to other dogs to enjoy social lead walks with, outside the home.

Alfred loves people and is very affectionate towards his carers. He is confident around people that are not familiar to him even. He walks well on a lead and particularly enjoys longer walks in areas he can take in all the enriching sniffs! He adores interacting with anyone that will take some time to play with his favourite squeaky toy!

Whilst here at the sanctuary, Alfed has proven to be kennel clean and not destructive, leading us to believe that he may have previously lived in a home. He has however been a little worried when having his health checks so will require some confidence building around vet handling and grooming.

Does Alfred sound as though he may be the dog for you. If he does why not submit an application below.
