Ozzy is a quiet boy who is timid and needs a patient owner to help build his confidence.
Ozzy was found in the Ocelot enclosure at Banham zoo, emaciated, very weak and covered in bites. Amazingly he pulled through and looks like a completely different ferret now! He is healthy and has been castrated.
Ozzy requires a more 'wild' home - a safe enclosure with lots of enrichment and places he can hide. Ozzy is happy keeping to himself, he does however benefit from some confidence building and handling.
Currently in temp foster to build confidence, needs a home with other confident ferrets to continue to build his confidence. Do get in contact if you could offer him a home.
Ozzy when he came in
For us, we chose to have bed boxes up high at the back. To maximize the use of the walk in enclosure, with a runaround tunnel connecting the bed box to the ground level.Underneath the bed box we have a large shelf which holds bedding and a hammock for the ferrets to enjoy with a wooden ramp as access. For the main part of the run we have litter trays in the back corners, tunnels, spaceship boxes, ball pits, sand to dig in, cat trees to climb and food and water stations. Along with safe ferret toys.
Our enclosures are 11ft x 3 1/2ft for reference.
